I started collecting sculpture in 1984 and my first acquisition was a Michael Ayrton: 'Triptych - Emerging Figures', 1966;
               followed by Jacob Epstein: 'Anna Frankel', 1946.

I have always concentrated on sculptors who were active in the 1950s and early 1960s as that was by far the best period for modern sculpture [and paintings], in my opinion.

Most of my collection on this website was acquired after 1995.
     I have always maintained a strict price ceiling of £20000       as I knew I could obtain examples of virtually all of the artists I admire most for under that figure - the exception being a Marino Marini bronze 'Horse and Rider', which I would love to own.

  There are some excellent sculptors here who were quite big      names in the 1950s which people may not be aware of now.
