Harry Thubron was born in County Durham and studied at the Royal College of Art.
One-man exhibitions include Lords Gallery, Serpentine Gallery and Austin Desmond Fine Art.
He was an influential teacher at the Central School of Arts, Leeds [Gregory Fellow] and Goldsmiths [1971-82].
The Tate Gallery collection includes his work.
