Robert Adams is an English sculptor who carved, welded and modelled and represented the UK at the Venice Biennale in 1952 and 1962 becoming quite a big international name in the 1950s and 1960s. He exhibited with Gimpel Fils gallery from 1947 onwards.
The Tate Gallery collection includes his work and a catalogue raisonne of his sculpture by Alastair Grieve was published by Lund Humphries.
He is my favourite abstract sculptor.
